M.S. in Nursing

Two-year full-time or three-year part-time

The M.S. program prepares graduates for advanced practice competencies as a nurse practitioner or nurse leader. Graduates earn an M.S. in nursing in one of four concentrations.

Students will synthesize knowledge and theories from nursing and related sciences to improve health outcomes, learn prevention and population health concepts, develop leadership skills to foster interprofessional collaboration and learn methods to integrate evidence into practice in their advanced practice concentration.

Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

The M.S. in nursing with a concentration in adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner (AGACNP) prepares graduates with the knowledge and skills for clinical practice to provide direct acute care to the entire spectrum of adults including young adults, adults and older adults.

Family Nurse Practitioner

The M.S. in nursing with a concentration in family nurse practitioner (FNP) prepares students with the knowledge and skills to provide primary care services including wellness/preventative, episodic and chronic care to children, adolescents, adults, pregnant and postpartum women, and older adults.

Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

The M.S. in nursing with a concentration in psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner concentration (PMHNP) prepares students to provide primary mental health care to individuals, families or populations across the life span in a wide range of settings.
