VCU School of Nursing at night.

Alumni and Friends

The VCU School of Nursing, established in 1893, is recognized as one of the top nursing programs in the country in part because of the accomplishments and contributions of alumni and friends. The School has been built on the traditions and values of the respected institutions in its proud heritage, notably the MCV School of Nursing and the St. Philip School of Nursing.

Gifts of all sizes from individuals, foundations and corporations help ensure that VCU Nursing faculty and staff have the resources they need to educate the next generation of nurses and nurse educators, create new knowledge that will improve nursing practice and healthcare, and serve the community.

Unrestricted gifts are important to the VCU School of Nursing because they may be directed where the need is greatest.

Endowment funds help secure the future of the VCU School of Nursing and provide a foundation for support.

Special opportunities to enhance our facilities (like building and equipping our new building), expand our research capabilities, support community outreach and further our mission are available.

During the ribbon cutting and building dedication ceremony on April 27, 2007, the VCU School of Nursing announced that it had successfully completed the Campaign for Solutions, a $10 million campaign to construct and equip our new nursing building.
