Biobehavioral Clinical

Biobehavioral clinical research focuses on the interactions among biological and psychobehavioral systems in nursing research. Faculty focus in this area involves biobehavioral conceptual frameworks, antecedents or cofactors, mediators, interventions and/or outcomes. Included in this area are biobehavioral studies related to enhancing function and development and preventing complications in those who are critically or chronically ill. Biobehavioral clinical research is translational, moving nursing research from bench, exploratory, or experimental models to clinical applications.
