Research Activities
I am interested in the relationship between genetics and the development of diabetes related to liver disease. My dissertation research compared gene expression profiles in blood of liver transplant recipients who had developed diabetes after transplantation in comparison with those who didn’t. A subset analysis was also performed to look at differences in gene expression patterns between recipients with and without Hepatitis C. This will provide the foundation for my program of research in this area.
