  • Virginia Transition Outcome Project (V-TOP) (contributing author) School divisions participate in this project when doing a self-assessment of their transition goals when reviewing their IEPs. Two-year grant, $160,000.
    Telework as an Accommodation for Employees with Disabilities: Developing Prediction Models for Successful and Satisfying Careers (contributing author), NIDRR. Three-year grant, $450,000.
  • Development and testing of LD/ELL-friendly computer tutorials in diverse subjects, classrooms, and formats. (contributing author and Research Coordinator), NIDRR. Two-year grant, $482,000.

  • Pain Assessment Instruments Development (PAID) project, to develop reliable and valid pain assessment examinations and evaluations (primary author and Research Coordinator), SSA. Three-year contract, $4 million.
  • An Examination of Emergency Department Pediatric Psychiatry Service Structure, Process, and Outcomes (mentored the PI, administrator). One year, $30,000.

  • 2001: VCU Research award. The Teacher Education Division of the School of Education received First Place for the greatest increase in external funding.
  • 2000: Social Security Administration Deputy Commissioner's Citation; In recognition of outstanding performance in implementing, managing and evaluating SSA's State Partnership Initiative.
