PNCB: Pediatric Nursing Certification Board

Complete
an application for PNCB.
Go onto the PNCB site to be sure you are following the correct guidelines to apply for this exam. Guidelines for directions to apply, application, exam dates, and fees can be found on their website www.pncb.org.
Complete an
on-line request form for the Department of Family and Community Health Nursing
After your have reviewed the application process from PNCB, the next thing
you want to do is fill out the Family and Community Health Nursing
Department on-line request form. Using the information you provide, the Department will prepare your "Documentation of Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Education Form." The Department administrative professional will be in touch with you to have you stop by and sign the form. After all signatures are obtained, the Family and Community Health Nursing Department will forward the original directly to PNCB.
Transcripts
After you have graduated, you will need to obtain an official copy
of your transcript. Your transcript must come directly from the registrar's
office to the agency in an official university envelope. Please note that
each student is responsible for obtaining their own transcripts.
For
the Virginia State Board of Nursing, the department chair will
send them a letter letting them know you have officially graduated. Don't
forget in addition to applying to PNCB, its your responsibility to obtain
a state license in order to practice! Directions for this are found at the
