Learning Objects

According to the Wikipedia, one definition of a learning object is: "Web-based interactive chunks of e-learning designed to explain a stand-alone learning objective."

Learning objects can be created to enhance either face to face or online courses. If there is a learning objective that your students are not mastering by lecture alone, please contact our E-Learning Specialist, Elizabeth Miles for an appointment. elmiles@vcu.edu

Examples:

1.) This particular object was created to assist nurses working with patients of hispanic origin. The object uses a combination of images and audio to illustrate the concept.

Cutural sensitivity for patients of hispanic origin.

2.) This learning object was created to help nursing students avoid the most common errors made in hospital settings.

Most common errors to avoid.
