Students

Community Nursing Organization (CNO)

The CNO links the community and the School of Nursing. Focusing on the development of innovative nursing and multi-disciplinary practice, teaching and scholarship, the organization establishes formal partnerships to address the public's health needs.

The CNO accomplishes its mission by providing a link between the community and the School of Nursing, developing creative models to prepare students for leadership, practice and scholarship, facilitating practice for needs identified by the community, and promoting opportunities for clinical research on the health care needs of vulnerable populations.

Nursing Students Without Borders (NSWB)

NSWB is a non-profit organization created with the vision of promoting public health both in the community and on an international level. Our organization is made up of VCU Nursing students who share a common passion - educating the public about health awareness and increasing access to proper healthcare worldwide!

Women’s Health Nursing Organization (WHNO)

Women's Health Nursing Group is a student managed organization that represents over 100 future nurses at Virginia Commonwealth University. We seek opportunities to advance the field of women's health in the greater Richmond area. We provide leadership opportunities to our student nurse members and educational resources to residents of the Richmond area.

¡Una Vida Sana!

A service learning program to provide cardio-metabolic disease screening and health outreach services to the Spanish-speaking community in Richmond while also providing clinical learning opportunities for medical, pharmacy and nursing students; clinical experience for Spanish-speaking medical interpreters; and health education experiences for lay health promoters.
