Clinical education: Clinical Learning Center
The Clinical Learning Center (CLC) at the VCU School of Nursing expanded in 2006 with the opening of the new School of Nursing facility. It has become one of the most advanced and comprehensive clinical simulation centers on the East Coast. Recognized in 2010 as a Laerdal Center for Education Excellence, the CLC provides a wide array of resources and equipment for student, faculty, and community advancement.

Use of the Clinical Learning Center
The Director of the Clinical Learning Center is Sandra Voll, MS, RN, CNM, WHNP, FNP.
The CLC is open Monday-Thursday 8:00AM-4:00PM and by appointment. Students are encouraged to call the CLC staff, (804) 828-3991, before arrival.
Faculty interested in simulation development, or use of the CLC facility for class should email Sandy Voll and fill out an activity request form. School of Nursing faculty and staff can view the Clinical Learning Center calendar by logging in with their eID and password.
The resources available within the CLC have made it a welcome place to host conferences and continuing education opportunities. Various nursing specialties, LifeEvac emergency medical flight transport, and other health professionals utilize the CLC for training and education. Please contact us to discuss simulation development or use of the CLC.
