Mission & Goals
Mission
The VCU School of Nursing Adult Health Department integrates the development, transmission and application of nursing knowledge related to the health and health care of adults, from young adults to the oldest old. Emphasis is placed on creative interdisciplinary and collaborative approaches that integrate practice and research. Identified areas of excellence include cardiopulmonary disorders, immunocompetence, health promotion and health care across the life span.

Goals
- Sustain an environment in which mission focused work can be effectively implemented;
- Recruit and hire faculty (based on needs assessment) who will contribute to the mission of the School and Department.
