Sigma Theta Tau: scholarships
2010 scholarship awardee Amanda Slater.
Each year are one nursing student is selected for the Lynn Bell Undergraduate Student Nurse Scholarship. This scholarship is to further nursing knowledge through the support of educational endeavors. Through this funding mechanism an undergraduate nursing student has the opportunity to utilize the funds at his or her discretion. The annual deadline for the Lynn Bell Undergraduate Student Nurse Scholarship is November 15.
2010 Awardee - Amanda Slater
Amanda plans to be a 2012 graduate of the School of Nursing. She is currently the Vice-President for Nursing Student Without Borders of VCU. She is also an Active Member of the VCU Chi Alpha Campus Ministry. She is an excellent athlete and is a member of several team sports including swimming, soccer and track. She would like to pursue a career in Emergency room nursing when she graduates from the School of Nursing.
